The Heart of Home: A Cozy Corner for All

For this client, we created a cozy, elevated living space where style meets function. This thoughtfully designed tiny‑room showcases how smart vertical design and warm textures can transform even the smallest corner into a relaxing retreat — for you and your pets.

At the heart of the space is a wall‑mounted cat sleep and play system, crafted in warm wood tones with botanical cutouts. The multi‑level design gives your cat a dedicated place to lounge, climb, and observe, all while adding sculptural interest to your wall. The cushioned hammock and hideaway boxes create a peaceful perch your pet will love.

Anchoring the room is a deep green sectional sofa, upholstered in a textured fabric that feels both modern and inviting. Its rich color grounds the space and pairs beautifully with natural woods, greenery, and soft neutrals.

Beneath it all, a textured area rug adds warmth and dimension, softening the room and tying the seating area together.

In the center, a woven ottoman does double duty as a coffee table and hidden storage. Style it with a tray for everyday use, or lift the lid to tuck away blankets, toys, or small essentials — perfect for tiny living rooms where every inch counts.

Cat wall shelves set:  I found this gorgeous setup on Etsy.  Brought to you by CatGoldReserve.  We fell in love with them as soon as we saw them.  My client purchased them and they have performed beyond expectations.  Her little clowder of cats love them. Cloud modular 3 seater sofa 80":  YES, you can seat 3 people in less than 100" in a tiny space.  Not only did we find this comfortable sectional that fits, it contains storage under each seat; including the ottomans!  We choose this warm green color to really stand out against the natural elements in the room.  I curated this couch for my client from Amazon.  $699.99  https://amzn.to/3QK2ZQc

4x6 area rug:  Perfect way to anchor the space and provide a layer of texture.  My client had this rug so we just re-purposed it.  I did find one similar on Amazon that would work perfectly in your tiny area.  This rug is Beige & Ivory and I would select the 4' x 6" rectangular size.  However, this brand does offer multiple sizes to fit any size area you need.  $ 92.20*  https://amzn.to/4t8DLZl *(Price shown reflects the 4'x6" rectangular size)

Coffee table/storage:  Always a hero to the golden rule "make everything do double duty in your tiny space".  This thoughtful and great accent piece provides a table to place your coffee cup and/or magazines plus storage inside for toys, blankets, pillows, etc.  My client already had this version so we repurposed it in her home.  However, I did find another great option on Amazon.  It is a natural wicker, handwoven rattan with a lid.  It's a great natural color and does come also in a nice smokey grey if you like.  $159.35  https://amzn.to/4tIxPY7

Accent Basket:  We placed a storage basket in this room mostly for my clients magazines that she collects.  (For the photo, we put a blanket in it).  Almost any basket you may currently have may work or you can find baskets anywhere for a minimal amount of money.  If you want this look, I did find a great option on Wayfair.  I has a relaxed shape to it, very natural looking and a great way to add more texture to your room.  $94.99  Rosecliff Heights Woven Rattan Basket & Reviews | Wayfair
