A Lofted Haven for a Growing Girl RV style!

Here we have a clever reinvention of small‑space living, where height becomes the hero. By lifting the bed into a lofted perch in this RV space, the vertical space suddenly works double‑duty — sleep above, sanctuary below — giving this pre‑teen an area that feels both grown‑up and perfectly sized for her.

Beneath the bed, the nook transforms into her own private mini‑lounge. I tucked in slim shelves for her treasures, added a TV for downtime, and wrapped the whole area in soft accent lighting that makes it feel like a secret hideaway. The oversized beanbag chair anchors the space with comfort and personality, giving her a spot to flop, read, or watch her favorite shows.  The stairs were built to provide a sturdy way up to bed but also double as storage drawers.

Up top, the bed feels intentionally styled rather than simply elevated. A long linear shelf runs the length of the wall, giving her a place to display books and the little things that matter to her. And because she’s stepping into that “not a little kid anymore” phase, we swapped out pink for a fresh mint‑green palette — a color that feels youthful without being babyish. The string of globe lights adds just the right amount of whimsy, a playful nod to her personality without tipping into anything too young.

The whole setup balances maturity with scale — a space that respects her small stature while celebrating her big‑girl moment.

LED String Lights:  Drum roll please for the cutest accent lighting ever!  I purchased these cute little LED globe lights from Amazon.  This spaced needed some illumination but we didn't want to saturate it with regular lighting options.  We choose these and then provided her with a reading light by her bed for those time brighter light would be needed.  $9.99  https://amzn.to/3RdoFnV

Floating Shelves:  We sourced these two shelves from Amazon to give our client a space to put her essentials on.  We installed one over the head of her bed and a second one at the foot of her bed.  (Not shown in photo)  I choose the hidden bracket type of shelving for a cleaner look.  You can get these from Amazon.  I purchased the Brown color, size 24W x 6D.  $173.75   https://amzn.to/49mR6Ge
